Our Story

The fraud was hiding
in plain sight.

PPCTrace started in 2025 when our founders — two performance marketers running a $20M affiliate programme — realised something was very wrong. Despite using every fraud-detection tool on the market, commissions kept being paid to affiliates who weren't doing the work.

The problem? Most tools only check what affiliates are bidding on. They never look at the click journey itself. So a whole class of fraud — click injection — was happening invisibly, draining millions in commissions across the industry.

We spent two years building the engine that catches it. Today PPCTrace protects programmes for some of the largest brands in fashion, finance, and retail — recovering hundreds of thousands in fraudulent commissions every month.

Our Journey

How we got here.

From a frustrated weekend prototype to protecting 50+ brands worldwide.

2018–2022 — The Problem

Years inside affiliate programs. Years of watching brands bleed.

Our founders managed affiliate programs for major e-commerce brands across the UK and India. Every month, the same pattern — affiliates claiming commissions on sales that had nothing to do with them. Networks called it "normal variance." We called it fraud.

2023 — The Research

We proved click injection was real — and undetected.

After deep technical research, we documented how affiliates were injecting fake clicks milliseconds before conversion — invisibly stealing commission on organic sales. No existing tool could detect it. No network had any incentive to look for it.

2024 — The Build

Twelve months building the tool the market didn't have.

We built PPCTrace from scratch — detection engine, network integrations, real-time alerting, and auto-cancellation. Tested on real programs, with real fraud data. By late 2024, we had a platform that caught what everything else missed.

Early 2025 — The Launch

PPCTrace officially launches.

We launched in 2025 with six fraud detection types — the most comprehensive affiliate fraud protection platform on the market. The only tool that detects click injection.

2026 — Now

Growing fast. Zero compromise on detection.

Already protecting brands including SHEIN, Flipkart, Myntra, and Wayfair. Fraud identified in the first months alone confirmed everything we suspected — and more. We're just getting started.
